Latest Railway Group "D" Exam Pattern 2018

Railway Recruitment Board has released section wise mark distribution of CBT Stage 1 Exam pattern. Read below to know the latest changes:

RRB Group D Exam Pattern Stage 1 – Computer Based Test (CBT)

The Railway Group D exam pattern for CBT is as follows:

  • The RRB Group D Exam Pattern is a Computer Based Test and objective in nature.
  • The RRB Question paper for Group D will be Based on the Subjects like general knowledge/ awareness/ mathematics / reasoning etc.
  • There are a total of 100 questions in the exam, each Qs consisting of 1 marks.
  • Total time duration is 90 minutes (120 minutes for PWD candidates)
  • There will be a negative marking of 1/3 mark for each incorrect response.

RRB Group D Exam Pattern for Stage 2 – Physical Efficiency Test -

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – The second stage iis necessary for all the candidates if they wish to get selected in the Railway Group D Recruitment Exam.

Able to lift and carry weight of 35 kg for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in only one chance without putting the weight down

Able to lift and carry weight of 20 Kg for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down

Should be able to run 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in 1 chance

Should be able to run 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in 1 chance


RRB Group D Exam Pattern Stage 3 – Document Verification (DV) and Impaneling of Candidates -

On the basis of the performance of candidates in the CBT, candidates will be called for document verification.

Note: Shortlisted candidates need to produce a NOC from the employer on the date of his/her DV failing which their candidature would be canceled. Signatures of the candidates on all the documents should be identical, either in English or Hindi.
